Between Heaven and Earth are a series of mixed media pieces that are an attempt at enlivening our skeleton. During my yoga teacher training we studied bodies in a cadaver lab. We removed all the organs from a body cavity and then studied the bones — their markings on the body, their living marrow. Afterwards I wanted to grow a bone garden of sorts. I wanted to give “juice” to the bones!
